We dig into what customers say
Searches, comments and reviews become angles.
We run Google Shopping, search, Meta and Snapchat for online stores, and make the ads ourselves. The goal is not the highest possible revenue in the ad account, but more left over after cost of goods and ad spend.

Real ads we made for the online stores we work with

None of them needed the same thing. One needed the right numbers, one needed more channels, and one needed a sale people actually saw.
| Channel | ROAS | Average CPA |
|---|---|---|
| All channels (blended) | 6.67x | NOK 157 |
| Meta | 4.88x | NOK 214 |
| Snapchat | 8.65x | NOK 123 |
Blended POAS was 2.61x the same month. That is the number we steer by when margins vary, more on that further down.
First the ones that catch people already looking for your products. Then the ones that create demand.
Google Ads, the Meta pixel and GA4 are set up so every purchase is counted once, with the right value. Without that you are steering by the wrong numbers. The tracking trap.
Your products with image and price when someone searches for them. It requires a clean product feed in Merchant Center. How we set up Shopping.
Category searches and product names in their own campaigns, and branded searches separately. People searching for your name would mostly have bought anyway. Google Ads management.
Statics, UGC and catalogue ads for people who are not looking yet. For Mokki, Snapchat had the highest ROAS of the channels in March 2026. We do not run TikTok ads. Meta Ads management.
Numbers from two online stores we run, Google Ads, July 1 – September 30, 2026. A conversion is a purchase.
| Online store | Campaign type | Clicks | Conv. rate | Cost per click | Cost per purchase |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| QualiPet dog treats | Search | 1,792 | 8.6% | NOK 6 | NOK 69 |
| PMax | 1,706 | 4.7% | NOK 9 | NOK 202 | |
| Shopping | 2,627 | 2.0% | NOK 7 | NOK 375 | |
| An online store for tattoo supplies | Search | 2,901 | 12.4% | NOK 9 | NOK 72 |
| PMax | 2,172 | 5.8% | NOK 14 | NOK 242 | |
| Shopping | 724 | 1.9% | NOK 4 | NOK 212 |
Three things we take from the table:
Before we set a ROAS target, we work out how much a purchase can cost before the ads lose money.
Breakeven ROAS = 1 / gross margin. With a 40% margin, breakeven is 2.5x. Gross margin is what you have left after cost of goods, shipping and fees. The same rule can be written in kroner per order: maximum cost per purchase = average order × gross margin.
The numbers in the calculator are only an example, replace them with yours. Then compare with the table above: there, a purchase cost from NOK 69 on search to NOK 375 on Shopping. Whether NOK 375 is profitable depends entirely on your average order and margin.
POAS (profit on ad spend) is gross profit divided by ad spend. Above 1 means the ads make money. Mokki had a blended ROAS of 6.67x and a POAS of 2.61x in March 2026. If your products have very different margins, we steer by POAS instead, or split products into campaigns by margin. Remember VAT too: if the account reports order value including 25% VAT, multiply breakeven by 1.25. What is a good ROAS?
When we started with Leid.no, the tracking counted far more purchases than actually happened. Every budget decision had been made on numbers that looked better than reality.
We have also seen a Google account where the same purchase was counted twice. ROAS then looked twice as good as it was. We place a test order and compare the number of purchases in Google Ads with the online store.
If order value is sent including VAT, an order of NOK 1,250 shows as NOK 1,250 in the account even though your revenue is NOK 1,000. We send the value excluding VAT, or adjust the target.
If the customer has been through both Google and Meta, both count the sale. That is why we also track total revenue divided by total ad spend, not just ROAS per channel.
“It is a before and after since we started working with you.” Thommy Tellefsen, CEO, Leid.no
We make 10+ new ads a week per client: statics with product and price, UGC, catalogue ads from the product feed and short video ads. Everything goes into accounts we follow ourselves, and what sells gets more variations.

“Wow, even statics that work this well! Great job, fantastic” — Mattis Ohana Goksøyr, CMO, Mokki
QualiPet was running a sales campaign. A sale only gets seen if three things are in place before it starts:
Result on Meta, September 2026: 10.3x ROAS.

Pricing: You pay a share of what we earn you, not a fixed monthly fee. If you do not earn more, you pay us nothing. For it to work for both of us, the ads need to create enough that our share comes to around NOK 20,000–30,000 a month. That is why we work with established businesses with a monthly ad budget of at least NOK 30,000. See the pricing page.
We do not do SEO or organic social media management. If you need a new landing page for a campaign or a sale, we build it.
The numbers come from our clients' own ad accounts.
