We dig into what customers say
Searches, comments and reviews become angles.
We make short commercials for ads on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat: UGC, motion graphics with voiceover and product video. Every video goes straight into an ad account we follow ourselves, and is judged on what it costs per sale or inquiry.

Real ads we made for our clients

One is meant to build a brand on TV and in cinemas. The other is meant to make someone buy or get in touch while they scroll. We only make the second.
| Commercial from a production company | Video ad from us | |
|---|---|---|
| Shown on | TV, cinema, website, big launches | Reels, Stories, feed and Snapchat |
| Quantity | One film, maybe a few cuts | Many variations of the same idea, new ones every week |
| Filming | Crew, director, actors, location | Phone, creators working from a script, the client’s own footage or animation |
| What makes it good | Idea, craft and how it is received | What it costs per sale or lead in the ad account |
| Format | Usually 16:9 | 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 |
| Price | Per production | Part of the partnership, see pricing |
We do not make TV commercials and we do not have a crew. What we do is make videos that can be measured every week, and replace them when the numbers say so.

Filmed on a phone by a creator working from our script, or by real customers and employees. Utvendig Renhold films on the job, and for Badstugutta we have edited interviews with customers who have had their sauna delivered.
Works when buyers need to trust you before they buy. How we make UGC.
Text, product and screenshots in motion, with a Norwegian voiceover and music made to length. The voice is made first, and every animation is locked to the word it belongs to.
Works when you have little video, or the message is a process, a number or a problem you solve. The full recipe.

Real product photos, short clips and offers, often made in several versions from the same image. Mokki’s CMO on simple statics: “Wow, even statics that work this well!”
Works when you sell products, have many items or run sales. Marketing for online stores.
The example is the format that has had the best response of what we have tested in motion: problem and solution, mirrored, around 45 seconds.
A regular ad has around 20 seconds of speech. Something new should happen at least every 1.5 to 3 seconds, and text should stay long enough to be read, at least 2 seconds.
| Format | Size | Where | What we watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 9:16 | 1080×1920 | Reels, Stories, Snapchat | All text between y=400 and y=1520, because buttons and captions cover the top and bottom. Text 25–30% larger than in 1:1. |
| 4:5 | 1080×1350 | Feed on Facebook and Instagram | Taller than 1:1, so it takes up more of the screen in the feed. |
| 1:1 | 1080×1080 | Feed and other placements | Made from the same setup as 9:16, so the message is the same. |
The sound is mixed so the voice always sits on top: the music stays evenly low under the whole voice, and the full video is normalised to -15 LUFS.
We do not know which video works until it has run. Nobody does. That is why we spend the money on several attempts, not on one.
We start with why people buy. For Badstugutta, the angles that bring in leads have been a sauna delivered fully assembled, a fixed price and delivery in around four weeks. The format is chosen after that.
The same footage is cut with different hooks and lengths, in 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1. New ads go into ad sets that already have data, so the test does not reset the learning phase.
A video is judged on cost per sale or lead, not on views. What delivers gets more budget and new variations. The rest we switch off. We make 10+ new ads a week per client.
With one expensive film you get one attempt. If the hook misses, you have paid for a film few people watch to the end. With many simple variations, the account finds the one that works, and we make more of it.
With us: we do not sell videos one by one. The videos are part of running your ads. You pay a share of what we earn you, not a fixed monthly fee. If you do not earn more, you pay us nothing. For it to work for both of us, the ads need to create enough that our share comes to around NOK 20,000–30,000 a month. That is why we work with established businesses with a monthly ad budget of at least NOK 30,000. How it is calculated.
At a production company, the same items decide the price almost no matter who you ask. We do not have numbers from other companies’ quotes, so we give no amounts. Use the list below when you compare quotes instead.
| What drives the price | Ask about this |
|---|---|
| Crew and shooting days Camera, lighting, sound, direction | How many days, and how many people? |
| Actors | How long and in which channels can the film be used? Are usage rights priced separately? |
| Location and equipment | Is the location, props and gear included? |
| Post-production Editing, grading, sound, graphics | How many revision rounds are included? |
| Music | Is the licence for ads, and for how long? |
| Versions and formats | Do you get 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1, and short versions with different openings? |
The last row is the one most often forgotten. A film delivered only in 16:9 has to be re-edited before it can be used in Reels, Stories and Snapchat.
The numbers come from our clients' own ad accounts.
